DT and Art
At St Augustine's we explore Art and Design through our Creative Curriculum and topics.
Design and Technology helps the children to develop the skills they need to perform everyday
tasks confidently and to participate successfully in an increasingly technological world, enhance
their knowledge by designing and making high-quality products for a wide range of users.
This also included food technology, which helps the children to understand and apply their knowledge of nutrition and learn how to cook.
Art helps the children to increase and explore their creativity in a variety of ways. This could be through drawing, painting, sculpture and other art, craft and design techniques. The children also are taught about the history of art through learning about great artists, craft makers and designers, and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms.
