Key information

  • Homework is given to children on a Thursday, children are expected to return the homework by Monday morning. If your child struggles to complete their homework at home, we do offer a homework club on a Thursday after school, where a qualified teacher will be able to support your child.

  • Children need to ensure that they have their PE kit in school with them everyday, their main PE lesson is on a Monday afternoon and a second lesson will be on a Wednesday morning. After Christmas, children will change to one lesson of PE and one swimming lesson. PE is part of the curriculum, therefore they need to take part and have the correct school kit.

  • Children are expected to read at least three times at home with an adult or older sibling. On a Friday, the children's planners will be checked to see if they have been signed and that they are reading at home.

If you have any issues, please do not hesitate to contact myself or one of the other members of staff from Year 5.
