How we Learn
Children in the Early Years learn through play and the staff work extremely hard to provide engaging, imaginative and fun learning experiences to enable the children to develop their personal, social and academic skills.
Our children choose weekly topics as you can see in our classroom pictures. When the children decided the learn about Space we developed our learning areas to promote this theme!
To excite and engage the children each area of learning is colour coded; e.g. the writing area might be red. When children have happily taken part in each learning area then the teaching staff will award that colour of the rainbow by giving out a colour-coded lolly pop sticks.
The challenge is to collect all seven colours of the rainbow in one week from different learning areas to receive a rainbow reward!
This way we provide the children will a broad, balanced child -led curriculum.
Reading in Early Years
Mrs Rowe and Mrs Walker (Our Home School Link Worker) have worked alongside parents to introduce reading books. They worked with parents and carers to provide strategies for early reading at home.
Thank you to all that joined us. If you need any further guidance do not hesitate to ask.
